About Us
East Midlands Spine Ltd (EMS) is a specialist medical consultancy practice based in Northamptonshire. Nick Birch who leads EMS was a consultant orthopaedic and spinal surgeon for 25 years, but since 2014 he has offered a non-surgical outpatient management of spinal problems. He also leads a comprehensive bone health service OsteoscanUK Ltd.
Nick is the spinal editor of the Bone and Joint Journal, the 6th ranked orthopaedic peer review journal in the world.
